Irish Taters in Ozark Land

songs – musicians – $15 –

This CD contains 32 tunes from Ireland, 4 from England, 1 from Wales, and 1 American waltz with an Irish feel. It features hammered dulcimer as the lead instrument, iwth other instruments acting as backup; embellishing and enhancing the different and varied meoldies.

Most of the musicians on the CD had Irish ancestry, but our musical stylings are rooted in Ozark traditions, where we live, and our interpretations of the old tunes reflect this. This is “Ozark’ Celtic” or Irish music with a “twang”; lively and straight forward, with a strong, driving beat.
